Measure the distance from the front of the cabinet to the outer edge of the plywood with a tape measure and use this measurement to mark on the top of the plywood where the cabinets below lie with a pencil. Follow the marks you made and drill through plywood into the best edges of the cabinets to secure it.

Create 2-inch pieces of auxiliary board that is long enough for counting edges and screw them into place.
